Privacy notice
Version 2026-10 · Mivora (a WebCentauri product) · support@webcentauri.com
Mivora is a learning product for children aged 4 to 12. Accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. We collect as little as we can, we never show ads, and we never sell or rent personal information.
Who is responsible
Mivora is operated by WebCentauri. You can contact us about privacy at support@webcentauri.com.
What we collect about you (the parent or guardian)
- Your name, email address and, if you choose, your country.
- Your password, stored only as a secure one-way hash — we cannot read it.
- A record of your consent: which documents you agreed to, their version, the date and time, and the internet address and browser you used. We keep this to show that consent was given.
- Sign-in sessions, so you stay signed in on your devices.
What we collect about your child
- A first name or nickname (letters only — please do not use a surname), birth year, avatar choice, interests and accessibility preferences.
- The settings you choose, such as daily time limit, hints on or off, and an optional 4-digit PIN (stored as a hash).
- Activity data: which activities were played, the answers given, how long they took, how many tries and hints were used, and the resulting skill estimates, coins and achievements.
We do not ask for, and children cannot enter, photos, surnames, addresses, phone numbers, school names or location. In creative activities, names given to invented creatures are limited to short words and filtered.
How we use it
- To run the service: choose activities at the right level, give hints and show progress to you.
- To show you a growth profile, weekly insights and suggestions. These describe activity inside Mivora only; they are not a diagnosis, an assessment for school, or an intelligence score.
- To keep the service safe and working, for example limiting repeated sign-in attempts.
- To improve Mivora using product events that contain ids and simple values (such as “activity finished, 2 tries”) — never internet addresses or free text.
Our legal basis is your consent for your child’s activity data, and the contract with you for running your account. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the child profile or your account.
Hints and artificial intelligence
Mivo’s hints are written into each activity. If we switch on an AI service to rephrase hints for a child’s age, we will only send the hint text and an age range (4–6, 7–9 or 10–12) — never your child’s name or answers — and we will update this notice before doing so. Children cannot chat freely with Mivo.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Fonts are served from our own servers.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or share personal information for advertising. Information is stored on servers operated for us by our hosting provider, who may only process it to provide that service. We will disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Deleting a child profile in Settings permanently deletes that child’s activity data, skill history and achievements straight away.
- To close your whole account, use Account in the parent dashboard: the account, every child profile and all activity data are deleted straight away. Nightly backups are overwritten within 14 days.
- Consent records are kept for as long as the account exists, plus any period the law requires.
Your rights
You can see and correct your child’s profile in the parent dashboard, see their full activity history, delete profiles, and ask us for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, by emailing support@webcentauri.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords and PINs are hashed. A child’s session in the app can only reach play features — not your settings or other children’s data. Access to servers is restricted.
Changes
If we make important changes we will tell you by email or in the dashboard, and ask for consent again where needed.
